Volume 1 contains index of names, localities, and other topics, 1925-1935, created by Historian's Office; information about missionaries called to South America in 1841 and 1851; church magazine clippings about establishment of mission; annual summaries of mission history, 1923-1930, compiled by Andrew Jenson; "History of South American Mission" during Ballard presidency, 3 September 1925-23 July 1926 (in two typescript versions, one much more recent than other), which includes information about decision to establish mission and text of Ballard's December 1925 dedicatory prayer; and quarterly reports during Stoof presidency, 15 July 1926-14 August 1935.

Volume 2, Branch Histories, 1925-1935

Description:
Volume 2 contains histories of Buenos Aires and Brazil districts and histories of branches and groups in Argentina and Brazil, especially Buenos Aires Branch, compiled by Historian's Office personnel from mission quarterly reports and other sources, including journals of missionaries J. Vernon Sharp and G. Wallace Fox. Volume also contains compiled accounts of exploratory visits to several areas, including Jujuy and Tucuman, Argentina, 1927, and J. Vernon Sharp's visit that year to La Paz, Bolivia.
