Summary:

Contains brief reference to Bradley's pre-1849 activities (including joining Church, 1843, and his overland journey to Utah, 1848) but focuses on his role in settlement of Sanpete County, including travel there from Salt Lake City and founding of Manti (1849-1851) and his assignment to settle Moroni (1859), where he served as president and bishop for eighteen years. Also briefly mentions period Bradley spent at Salt Creek/Nephi (1851-1858).

Sketch was written with stated purpose of giving younger generation some idea of settlement experiences of 1840s and was published in The Sentinel at Nephi.
