Summary:

Account of Martin's experiences during emigration west from the Nauvoo area in 1846, including association with Thomas L. Kane; travel to the Salt Lake Valley in 1847; marriage to Mormon Battalion veteran Jesse B. Martin; and later family life in Scipio, Utah.

Includes references to George A. Smith, Heber C. Kimball, Parley P. Pratt, and Brigham Young. Also describes Truman Gillett speaking in tongues when Martin was young girl.
