    Summary:

    Correspondence of Heber C. Kimball with his plural wife Sarah Ann Whitney Kimball from Nauvoo, Illinois; Winter Quarters, Nebraska; and Salt Lake City and Fillmore, Utah.

    Letters offer words of comfort, blessing, and counsel. Two letters were written as Kimball left with pioneer company in April 1847. One letter dated 1848 is in handwriting of Thomas Bullock.

    Also included is 1856 letter from Sarah Ann Kimball to Heber C. Kimball regarding family matters in Salt Lake City while Kimball was attending Utah territorial legislative session in Fillmore.

    Partial verses of poetry written by Emmeline B. Whitney (Wells) about death of a child (possibly David Kimball) in 1847 are also included.
