History includes brief accounts of personal experiences about process of temple construction and dedication written by Brazil North Area President Claudio R. M. Costa, temple construction manager Raul Henrique Lins, and temple committee coordinator Cleto Pinheiros de Oliveira. Text of temple dedication prayer by President Gordon B. Hinckley is also included.

History also includes views of members, missionaries, and visitors at temple open house; members of Brazil North Area Presidency at cornerstone ceremony; and Gordon B. Hinckley and James E. Faust at dedication.
