Summary:

Brief autobiographical sketches of Zodak K. Judd and his wife, Mary Minerva Dart Judd. The sketches outline their journey from Canada and New York respectively to the Salt Lake Valley, their meeting and marriage in Parowan, and the names, births and deaths of many of their children. Judd also told of his family's joining the Church, his trek from Kirtland to Far West, and eventual settlement in Parowan, Santa Clara, Eagle Valley Fort, and Kanab. He described his experiences serving in the Mormon Battalion, building the St. George Temple, and living the United Order. Mary described the hardships and sufferings of daily living under very difficult circumstances plus the heartache and sorrow of losing to death so many of her family and children.
