Smith Aug 31st 1920 at Nauvoo Ills”. Julia Murdock Smith Dixon Middleton (1831–80), the adopted daughter of Joseph and Emma Smith, died at the home of her friend Samantha Moffitt in Nauvoo, IL. Vida Elizabeth Smith (1865–1945) was the daughter of Alexander Hale Smith, the son of Joseph and Emma Smith.
