    Recounts early life in New York, conversion to the Church, experiences in Kirtland, Ohio, Missouri, and Nauvoo, Illinois, and missionary travels to Maine and Vermont, as well as his march with the Mormon Battalion and travel to Utah and his missionary activities in Australia, 1852-1854. Also records his activities in Utah, particularly in Hyde Park in Cache Valley. Volume also includes family genealogy.

    Includes Hyde's brief manuscript autobiography.
