Account of his life to November 1874, including information about his family's 1837 emigration from Norway to America, their experiences in Illinois, their 1843 conversion to Mormonism, an 1844 experience with Joseph Smith, their 1848 journey to Utah, their activities in Bountiful, Hogan's 1849-1850 visit to the California gold fields, his 1860 move to settle Richmond, Utah, and his 1874 call to move his family to southern Utah.
