    Journal, electronic mail, and other documents containing account of Paul and Lisbeth Edmundses' experiences as Church Educational System (CES) missionaries in Russia Rostov na Donu Mission under mission presidents Ned C. Arnold and Albert Y. Aumeister. Edmunds worked in and traveled to Volgograd, Sochi, Krasnodar, and Moscow, Russia.

    Journal contains account of Edmundses' training in Bernburg, Germany (August 2002); their travels to branches throughout mission to work with seminary and institute programs; summer youth conferences; family home evenings hosted by missionaries; teacher training; and Perpetual Educational Fund problems. Also includes accounts of baptisms, instructions from First Presidency that curtailed missionaries' actions because of Iraq War (19 March 2003), information about Russian tax system and hardship it caused missionaries renting apartments in Russia (22 October 2002), and visits from Keith K. Hilbig (9-11 November 2002), and Russell M. Nelson (18 August 2003), and Robert F. Orton (18 August and 12 November 2003).

    Papers also include history of CES program in Russia Rostov na Donu Mission, map of mission, reports, teacher's aids, poem written by Russian convert, detailed account of Armenian construction worker's conversion story, picture of senior missionaries, copies of Edmundses' visas, and calling card with Edmundses' picture, Church logo, and Articles of Faith in Russian language.
