    Summary:

    Includes letters from Charles Turner describing conditions aboard the emigrant ship Underwriter, overland travel, settlement in Morgan County, Utah, and the Morrisite war; letters James Cowper wrote from Dundee, Scotland, to his daughter Elizabeth C. Jeffery in St. George, Utah; and letter to James Cowper in St. George from his son John D. Cowper in Salt Lake City, describing employment as a cook during transcontinental railroad construction.
